Starmer backs smoking ban on in pub gardens and outdoor areas
There will be no more cigarettes with your pint in beer gardens across England, if the government pushes ahead with its anti-smoking plans.
The Prime Minister has told this programme he’s backing measures to ban smoking in pub gardens, restaurant terraces and outside hospitals as part of an effort to phase out smoking altogether.
Health charities have welcomed the plans, but there are warnings from some in the hospitality sector that less smoking could mean less business.
