Kyiv mourns after strikes on children’s hospital and across Ukraine kill 42

Now while NATO allies will pledge to bolster military support to Ukraine, Kyiv has declared a day of mourning after yesterday’s Russian missile strike on the country’s leading children’s hospital.

42 people were killed in the barrage of attacks across the country, including four children.

Our international editor Lindsey Hilsum has been speaking to a surgeon who was operating on a baby when the missile hit and managed to keep the child alive.
