Venezuela’s Maduro defiant despite protest against election result

In Venezuela the country’s political opposition has been taking to the streets to denounce the results of last month’s election.

They accuse President Nicolas Maduro of rigging the vote, but – despite criticism from regional and Western powers – he remains defiant, staging his own rally in the capital Caracas yesterday.
