Starmer: police will be given more resource to tackle violent disorder
Sir Keir Starmer has visited local political leaders and members of the community in Southport – before going onto Liverpool’s Alder Hey hospital, where he thanked staff for their professionalism as they treated victims of the knife attack.
The Prime Minister said police would be given more resources to tackle any violent disorder, while a top Government advisor warned that there was a “concerted and coordinated” attempt to spread unrest by far right activists.
