SNP left reeling after worst general election result since 2010
The Scottish National Party has been left reeling from its worst general election result since 2010.
Leader John Swinney called for a period of soul searching after Scotland’s governing party won just nine seats, while Labour reclaimed swathes of Scottish heartland.The SNP lost dozens of seats, mostly to Labour – while the Tories retained 5 of their 6 seats.
